
MSK-AFA-MC300 is a roll-to-roll, multi-functional coating system designed for flexible and modular coating processes. It supports multiple interchangeable coating heads, including:
- Slot-die
- Reverse comma blade (transfer)
- Micro-gravure
- Doctor blade
- Hybrid configurations (e.g., slot-die + doctor blade, slot-die + reverse comma blade, or combinations of three heads)
By changing the coating head configuration, the system can operate in continuous or intermittent coating modes.
Drying is performed using a convection heating oven, and the number of oven sections can be customized according to specific process and throughput requirements.

The system accommodates substrates up to 300 mm in width with effective coating width range according to coating heads :
Slot Die Coating (single side coating):
- Coating Area : 260 mm Width x 5000 mm Length
- Achievable Coating Thickness :
- Continuous coating: 30–150 µm
- Intermittent coating: 30–100 µm
- Effective Coating Width : adjusted using interchangeable shim
- One standard shim included
- Customization according to user requirements is also available
- Coating Gap : regulated by a servo motor with a position resolution of 1 µm
- Thickness Uniformity : ≤ ± 2 µm
Reverse Comma Blade Coating (single side coating):
- Coating Area : 260 mm Width x 5000 mm Length

Remark : The final coating thickness depends on several factors, including slurry viscosity, particle size, solid content, shim thickness, foil speed, and slurry feed rate. Therefore, we cannot guarantee a 1‑micron film for all slurries. Please provide your slurry specifications and desired coating thickness for further discussion.
